The Ebola crisis has really brought these unique products into the public eye and forced us to adapt the way they are produced, based on speed, material and other efficiencies.
The quicker more streamline production has transformed supply but for the nurses working in these hot confined conditions we want to do more.
Flexiplastics are working on a alteration of the half suits which the nurses step almost fully into. The aim is to make it easier for the nurses to move their head and neck more fluidly.
The idea is to alter the shape of the suits “head” slightly to make it more responsive, we are also exploring the idea of the nurses wearing a thin hat which will attach to the top of the half suit. Again with the primary target of improving the nurses working conditions and improving their visibility.
