The aim of the Supply Isolator is to accommodate any equipment or supplies which may be required during isolation. The Supply Isolator is subjected to positive pressure testing to ensure it is totally bio-secure. The result of this is provision of an entirely sealed area for the safe passage of equipment to the bed isolation unit, removing the risk of contamination.
The MoD specification Supply Isolator connects via a port seal directly to the bed isolator to remove any contamination risks. This unit is fitted with various sleeves and interior fittings to effectively host medical supplies. These units can be made to a bespoke specification for any required item.
Similar to the bed isolator, the Supply Isolator unit mounts onto a frame and operates under negative pressure. Medical staff use the sleeves to access as required. Flexiplastics also produce a connector between the two entry ports to ensure an airtight seal.
